คอนแทคเลนส์Bigeyeคนส่วนใหญ่ที่ไม่ได้ใช้คอนแทคเลนส์ หรือแม้แต่คนที่ใส่คอนแทคเลนส์แทนแว่นสายตาอาจไม่รู้ว่า คอนแทคเลนส์บิ๊กอาย หรือที่เราค้นเจอในเน็ตคือคำว่าBigeye มีขนาดที่ต่างกันบางคนรู้เพียงแค่ว่ามีค่าDiameter(เส้นผ่านศูนย์กลาง)เท่านั้นซึ่งในท้องตลาดจะมีเพียงไม่กี่ขนาดเช่น 14.0mm 15.0mm 15.5mm ซึ่งจริงๆแล้วตัวคอนแทคเลนส์บิ๊กอาย มีข้อกำหนดในการระบุขนาดเพื่อแจ้ง อย. ว่าขายได้ในขนาดไม่เกินค่าDimeterเท่าไหร่ แต่Bigeye ที่ขายในตลาดทุกวันนี้การจะดูความโตที่แท้จริงต้องดูที่ ค่าEffect ซึ่งปัจจุบันมีค่าEffectสูงสุดอยู่ที่18.0 ซึ่งคนเกาหลีหรือญี่ปุ่นไม่ชอบใส่ เพราะไม่เหมาะกับคนตาเรียวเล็กนั่นเอง สำหรับคนไทยการที่จะใส่คอนแทคเลนส์บิ๊กอายEffect18.0ได้ ต้องไม่ใช่มือใหม่ เพราะจะรู้สึกลำบากเวลาใส่แต่ง่ายเวลาถอดเช่นกัน มือใหม่ควรเริ่มกับBigeyeขนาด15.5ไปก่อน ตาโตสวยได้เหมือนกัน เรื่องของการตรวจสอบจากองค์การอาหารและยา ไม่เพียงแต่การกำหนดความโตที่ขายได้เท่านั้น อย.ยังต้องตรวจคุณสมบัติอื่นๆของตัวเลนส์ และสถานที่จัดเก็บสินค้าให้เป็นไปตามกฎ จากนั้นจะออกเอกสารกำกับตัวผลิตภัณฑ์ว่าผ่านการตรวจสอบ แต่!!! มีกฎที่ว่าไม่สามารถเอาเอกสารดังกล่าวไปโฆษณาได้ อันนี้ไม่เข้าใจเหมือนกันว่าเป็นเพราะอะไร ทำให้หลายๆเว็บไซต์ไม่สามารถแสดง อย.ไทยได้ ส่วนใหญ่จึงแสดงแค่ อย.เกาหลีหรือญี่ปุ่นตามแหล่งผลิตนั้นๆ คอนแทคเลนส์บิ๊กอายEffect18.0ยังไม่เป็นที่นิยมมากนักเพราะมีคนที่ใส่ได้ไม่มาก แต่ด้วยการลองใช้แล้วบอกต่อในปัจจุบันของผู้ที่ชื่นชอบความโต ทำให้เกิดการผลิตลายที่นิยมเช่น ck-105,dm23,2toneและ3toneของVassenฯลฯ ให้เป็นEffect18.0ขึ้นมามากมาย โดยมีSeeshellRainbowเป็นตัวแทนจจำหน่ายในไทยรายแรกๆบิ๊กอาย
